Abbas Fawaz is a Lebanese-French citizen, and a self-made entrepreneur, whose successful business journey started in 1968 in the West African region. His entrepreneurial ventures began in trading and expanded in the fields of timber, rubber, agro-industry, and most recently, the hospitality sector. Building on his successes in Africa, M. Fawaz established offices in Geneva, Paris, and Amsterdam, extending his reach to the European market as well as to the Middle East.
Abbas Fawaz supports various humanitarian NGOs and associations. He serves as Vice-President of Démocrates sans Frontières in Switzerland, President of Amwaj environmental association, and President of Human Services Association in Lebanon.
Currently, Abbas Fawaz is President of the World Lebanese Cultural Union, further emphasizing his dedication to promoting the Lebanese overseas culture as messengers of peace, entrepreneurship, and fraternity, fostering the socio-economic development of the countries in which they live in and keeping them connected to Lebanon.
